OpenNebula 4.4 Beta 2 (4.3.85) Retina

18th November 2013. The OpenNebula project announces the availability of OpenNebula 4.4 Beta2 (4.3.85) Retina, the second preview of the upcoming OpenNebula 4.4.

With this release, the code base of OpenNebula 4.4 is feature freeze and the team will concentrate its efforts on polishing and bug fixing.

The OpenNebula team wants also to thank all the feedback received for the previous beta release. Keep testing!

What's new in OpenNebula 4.4 Beta 2

This beta release includes many bug fixes, and stabilizes the OpenNebula 4.4 Retina code base. The following list contains the features and bugs worked on in this Beta 2 release:

Migrating from OpenNebula 4.4 Beta 1

It is important to note that in this Beta 2, the name of the shared_lvm storage driver has been changed to to fs_lvm. Moreover, after installation execute onehost sync to update the new drivers in the hosts.

Moreover, this version of OpenNebula handles Ceph backends with libvirt versions > 1.0.

To upgrade, follow the standard upgrade procedure described in the documentation.

Migrating from OpenNebula 4.2

Getting the Software & Documentation

OpenNebula is released under the Apache 2.0 open source license. The complete source tree and binary packages for OpenNebula can be downloaded here.

Packages are available for various distros: Ubuntu LTS and latest, CentOS, OpenSUSE and Debian.
